Jump to Part 2 - Taragarh Fort

We travelled through the morning to reach Bundi in the early afternoon. India's other-worldliness was certainly on display as we drove through the various towns and villages, most of the time I couldn't point a camera in time to capture the scene or I wouldn't want to point a lens at people going about their daily business.

Cow pats drying for use as fuel. These are fashioned by hand from pats found out and about...

Portable band amongst the half-built shops...

An all too common sight, still the leaves at the airport were nicely polished...

Roadside nut vendor...

Family of 4 on a motorbike...

Trumped by a full family of five, this was the most I saw on a single motorbike...

I hope for the sake of the guy's fingers, that we didn't distract his wife here. There are 2 children sleeping on the bed on the right had side, including one in a mini-hammock...

Bundi Step Wells

The 46m deep Rani ji ki Baori - Queen's Step Well built in 1699.

Fancy carvings...

The well's roof makes a cool roost for bats...

A bit of stretching and jockeying for position...

Me at Nawal Sagar...

Taragarh Fort reflected in Nawal Sagar...

Miche at Nawal Sagar...

A pair of street porkers...

Even neglected walls had beautiful murals painted on them...

Two trunked variety...

A Ganesh shrine...

A splendid portrait at a restaurant, where we had a lovely roof-top meal and night views of the Taragarh Fort...
