A cold crisp and beautiful New Year's Day - Miche, Hans & Emma at Mullion Cove harbour with much calmer seas...

Walk to Lizard Point along the coastal path...

It was below freezing and as well as the frozen puddles, in places the path itself was covered in a layer of ice from the previous days melt. Other parts had a layer of mud over frozen soil, it all made for some comedy slipping in the 8 miles to the Lizard...

As well as a herd of Highland Cattle, there were a couple of herds of beautiful Shetland Ponies on the route...

After the first day's rough weather, New Year's Day couldn't have been more still and clear... We had the path to ourselves for the first 6 or so miles, Miche approaches...
