After the black tie bash the night before, we took a leisurely New Year's Day walk to Thorpeness along the coast.

Me & Hans. The sculpture by Maggi Hambling is dedicated to Benjamin Britten and the words from his opera 'Peter Grimes' reads "I hear those voices that will not be drowned". Strangely they only read forwards when you read from the back...
