My last purely skiing trip.

After flying into San Francisco and driving into the Sierra Nevada's, we started in Lake Tahoe and skied Heavenly & Kirkwood...

James, Kev, Fiona & Dave at Heavenly and the fantastic backdrop of Lake Tahoe itself...

It's childish I know, but it remains my favourite piste name... Kev & Dave by 'Dipper Knob'... All the more impressive for its view over the Nevada Desert below.

Totally stoked...

Kirkwood...

A trip across Lake Tahoe on a Steam Boat to Squaw Valley on the other side...

Me testing Newton's theories at Squaw Valley...

After a week around Lake Tahoe, there was some time for snowmobiling before heading south to Mammoth...

A drive across the Mojave Desert would take us to Mammoth & June Mountains...

The route was pretty direct...

More authentic than a Java Bean Cafe...

Our main venue for our time in Mammoth. The rooms themselves were complete 70's opulence, with incredibly deep shag-pile carpets and massive beds...

A sulphur vent at Mammoth... A strange experience to be in the pure air of a mountain and then be engulfed by the smell of rotten eggs...

Trip over, we drive to Los Angeles and home...

One of a series of similar statues in L.A....
