Having justified last year's day of heli-boarding at Whistler as a once in a lifetime treat; I end up booking a 3-day version riding in the Monashees & Cariboos based at Mike Wiegele's in Blue River - this could become a very expensive habit!

Each time we landed a feisty Blue Grouse would come over and remind the guides who the mountain really belonged to...

Waiting a distance away with the runners fully sunk and the rotors that much lower...

Free beer also meant falling asleep at 7:30 and missing dinner - well it did for me anyway, still tired from the journey I expect ;-)
