Whale Watching with Harv & Marv...

A bloke on a strange upright pedalo contraption heads happily out to sea... it's a wonder our wake didn't have him over... the sea was calm on our visit, but it can turn very feisty out there...

 

The lighthouse on what was a very misty day in the sheltered fjord...

Sealions on a marker buoy, at this point we thought it wasn't going to be our day for whales as we'd been out for a while and not seen any sign...

Our first humpback whale breaks the surface...

In a fjord surrounded by glaciers...

 

Whale dive sequences... 

 

Each whale has a unique tail (fluke) pattern that they can be identified by. The boat had a chart of who was who...

A different whale flukes, closer but in the mist... 

This one was swimming towards us...

Cruise Day 3

Back on the boat and it's off to the Crow's Nest for a night cap and sunsets...
