Up at 6:30 AM to see the Charles Bridge without the crowds, though there were a handful of the previous night's stragglers making their way home in the town.

Miche and the statue of St John of Nepomuk (the oldest on the bridge 1683). Miche upholding the tradition of touching the bronze base here; this is held to bring good fortune and to ensure that the visitor will return to the city of Prague...

The Astronomical Clock - we waited until 08:00 AM for the big show, but nothing much happened, so we came back at 14:00 when it put on a more impressive display...

Back into Wenceslas Square and the Easter Market stall holders are just beginning to stir...

I don't normally take photo's of M&S, but the balcony is on the Melantrich building in Wenceslas Square where Havel & Dubček appeared together in 1989 to announce the end of communism in Czechoslovakia. 

Miche did pop in later and buy a couple of tops to mark such an historic event!
