Part 2 - City & Mount Wellington
From being a cultural embarrassment of its penal colony past to becoming a top tourist attraction, Port Arthur was an impressive site to visit and we had a great guide when we toured the prison buildings.

You're given a playing card when you enter the site which tallies to the history of one of the convicts from the settlement's past. It was a good way to draw you in to the lives of the people portrayed... Miche's turned out to be a guy called John Thomas. Mine was called Johnson, I'm not sure if they were all named after men's private parts. Were there really convicts called Eric Sean, Hugh Jass and Dong Cocknob-Wang?

I think we'd seen this clothing make in Singapore, though I'm not sure the 'Bum Sports' brand would catch on elsewhere...

Indulgence - we stopped at this unassuming roadside bakery on the way to Port Arthur and back and it had some of the best food & coffee we had on the whole trip...
