We'd been told that the unusually unsnowy conditions had revealed a crevasse on the Blackcomb Glacier, we were amazed by what we found...

The crevasse is in the smaller corrie glacier forming part of the Wind Lip above the main glacier.

Peering into the abyss - soberingly, in snowier years, we've hiked right over this crevasse many times...
