We spent the afternoon at a local centre for the rehabilitation of injured Florida wildlife, though most on show were too injured to be released into the wild.

At the entrance...





Not one of the rehabilitated animals, but I liked the crest anyway...




Florida Burrowing Owls...




The Spring had some huge female Manatees, which they fed lettuce and cabbage...




Injured (leg) Alligator...







Bobcats...




Greater Flamingoes...




Crested Caracara...




Bald Eagles...




A feisty local squirrel refuses to back down in a late afternoon staring contest...




An impressively broad old 'Gator...




A smaller one basks on shore...




When you order a plate of scallops in Florida, you really get a plate full of scallops...
