Part 1 - Incredible Lake Walk
We got up early to take a peaceful walk around
the lake in the heart of Kandy and its amazingly dense population of
everything.

This was the
biggest one we saw, it lived in a culvert near the Cultural Centre...

I've seen videos
of herons fishing with bread, it wasn't clear if this one was doing that or
just wetting it to swallow more easily...
If it was
fishing, this one was probably too big to take on...
The
Archeological Information Centre - more romantically it was formerly the
Queen's Bathing Pavilion (Ulpange)...

Ducks - we never
saw duck on the menu, so it maybe why they were so relaxed...
