Day 17 - No walking today, just an adrenaline take-off from Lukla; some meandering around Kathmandu and then dinner with the guides at the Rum Doodle restaurant in the evening. This was followed by an undulation to the Tom & Jerry bar, before embarking in a kick shaw race back to the hotel. Poor Richard was stuck with me, our guy never stood a chance, even when John's chain came off.

Approaching the plane. The turnaround is so quick that the seat was still warm from the previous occupant. The sloped runway gave it that extra rollercoaster dimension. The rules for the pilots are simple: off the cliff at the end and avoid the mountains directly in front...
