With Sandboarding fully booked and our tours the previous day not visiting the main square (Plaza Mayor), we took a taxi and headed to the centre...

Our first aim was to get to the Government Palace for the daily 11:45 changing of the guard ceremony.

This guy was a bit older...

The ceremony started with a marching band... The railings obscured the view a little but there was more modern security out of camera shot to prevent people from approaching the bars...

This was the Saturday dismounted version, on other days the Dragoons perform the ceremony...

In a city of big fancy churches, this one was pretty ornate... The Convent & Church de la Merced - with its full-on baroque facade...
