Day 4 - this in Bobby's view is the hardest of the days and after 640 treks to Machu Picchu he's the most qualified to know! The so-called day of 3000 steps. However, with walking poles, impressive Inca sites and the adrenaline at the prospect of seeing Machu Picchu it passed pretty quicky.

 Unfortunately the cloud had rolled in the previous evening, so we were unable to see the stars (we'd had a good view in the dark of the jungle), it had largely cleared the next morning and we headed up to a vantage point to watch the sunrise over the mountains with copious amounts of coca tea.
