Fountains!
Return to Day 3 - Part 1 - Lima City

After leaving Lima's Chinatown we headed to the Parque de la Reserva to see the Magic Water Circuit, a series of 13 fountains and a light show...
'Magic Fountain' from afar...

music & light show to begin at the 130 yard long 'Fantasia Fountain'...
The beginning of the show...
Many of the shapes portrayed Inca symbolism...
Others were
projections of Peruvian sights...
Miche & I at the
'Fountain of Illusion'...

without us in the way...
Miche in the 'Fountain of Surprises', this was
probably my favourite...
The water arced
over perfectly unless you (accidentally), or someone outside (deliberately),
touched it and it would divert and soak you...
The 'Cupula Visitable' one of the more interactive and risky displays...
The water would
drop periodically and you had to make your way to the middle, the idea being
to get in and out and stay dry...
Harder than it
sounds as the periods were not very predictable and intermittently other
jets would arc in on the unwary...

Magic Fountain, it goes up and down, but at its peak it's the highest in the
park...

Designed by a Frenchman in the 1920's, the park had a long section of classical columns and arches...
